With a budget of $30`000 and help of good friends, Ecuadorian architects Daniel Moreno Flores and Margarita Marque renovated a house to find the architecture hidden under its old walls and floors. Their main purpose was to “clean, remove, and discover the reality of the materials,” and it can be clearly seen throughout the spaces. Brick walls where left exposed with damages and timber flooring stripped and used as stairs, platforms and shelves. There is only one thing to say – great design with little investment.
